The rectangular connectors of the heavy|mate C146 D series are characterized by the following features:

• Standardized Connector

• Intermateable and interchangeable with all third-party products according standard norms

• 7- 8- 15- 25- 40- and 64 pin with crimp termination

• Rated current 10 A to 16 A

• Rated voltage 250 V

• Special version DD 24-216 pins

We recommend using the high profile housings/ hoods for the heavy|mate D inserts.

Connectors of this series may be engaged or disengaged when live but without electrical load. If the connectors are mated or unmated under load, the load shall be reduced to 10% of the rated current.

For contact inserts for turned contacts, guide pins and guide socket are recommended (see product catalogue heavy|mate page 290).

By using contact inserts with two PE-connections without hoods, it is necessary to connect the facing of each PE-connection.

If connectors are mounted in non conductive housings both protective earthing terminals shall be mounted.
